It's a world-wide competition open to anyone aged 14 or older who wants to create and present an electronic project. The ideas must be original and it needs to be originality based on scientific principles or engineering. (SCMPE CA final) .
There are two ways of doing this: students can either develop their own hardware or software that they design themselves, or they can work with someone else who designs the product and then enter it into the competition (in which case they need to pay £250).
This competition will not only help you to develop your skills, but also give you the chance to travel to places like Los Angeles and compete for prizes worth £50,000. There are also opportunities for students to receive personal development awards and attend courses offering £5,000 in funding for projects.
The deadline for entries is 31 January 2009.
